Like many others I have low fps issues. Mine seem to be the typical cities issue and I've tried everything (shadowboost/low distance, turn off vsync, run windowed, etc). I still get stutter and frame drops. The best solution I can do is cap at 30 fps so drops aren't so noticeable.

My specs:
GPU: Gtx 960
CPU: I5 4440
RAM: 2x4GB 1333mhz (one is originally 1600 though)
OS: Windows 7 x64

I used to get 30-37 frames outside and 40-50-ish indoors. But with this ENB I get 40-60 outside.
The main thing I noticed is that it gets rid of that stupid washed out/haze effect they decided to put in.
And now, it runs smoothly majority of the times!

Nice taste! Ironically I already use this. In fact it's only with the force vsync + skip frames set to 1 that I can stand playing. It's basically either going between approximately 20 to 30 fps or going from 30 to 60. I personally find the sudden drop to below 40 and back again and again very jarring whereas when I have it capped at 30 my brain is already used to filling in the blanks.

If there's one thing I agree with Ubisoft, is that 30fps feels more natural (to me at least )

I'm going to try out this ENB tonight and see my results. I constantly get very crappy frames (especially indoors, and it appears i'm not the only one) Thanks for the recommendation.

UPDATE: Turns out my CPU fan was a bit crooked leading to VERY harmful temps (68c idle/95c in use). Now everything works like a dream.

@"onowrouzi" Glad you found out that was the reason! I happened to me once with my old pc, World of Warcraft started to have very low fps, I was very young so I didn't know too much about pcs. Never took it to a tecnician and well one day, the pc just didn't boot. I saved the info in my HDD but basically I had to buy a new pc. Good you realized in advance!! (:

@okinabe The main way is setting ipresentinterval to 0 in the ini's and/or using windowed borderless mode. However, due to fps being tied to game time you need some sort of fps limiter like the one built in to ENB or possibly in you video card's control software (otherwise you'll get locked in terminals and experience crazy physics bugs).

Also do NOT use ifpsclamp unless you are absolutely certain you can keep the fps at a steady rate (pretty much impossible in this game). Setting it and having fps drops causes a slow-mo effect.

The animations are made for 60fps , doing a uncap would break everything

whats the different between normal window mode and borderless sir? more fps gained if it was borderless sir?

Borderless just makes sure you don't get your OS's window decorations (title bar, minimize, maximize, exit) around the window. There shouldn't be any performance difference. Just for looks.
