| To be honest I'm more of a fallout new vegas kind of player. Fallout 4 has its moments but it lacks rpg elements. Like making your own backstory. Being good or bad. After beating fallout 4 for the first time. I really didn't want to replay it to see the other endings due to what other people have been saying about them. Idk each is their own I guess. |

| I agree:in my opinion Fallout New Vegas is better than Fallout 4, in terms of RPG aspects, character design, and general variety and uniqueness. There is also a huge amount of replaying possibilities, which allows player to experience a whole new story each time he/she chooses a different playstyle. Also, the possibilities for character creating are way better than in Fallout 4, simply because the Courier is not pre-built, although he/she has a background story. |

| @"stigri" You are right. But I feel like it plays like skyrim I don't know why. Ive put like 1000hrs in new vegas. And 120 on fallout 4. Maybe obsidian should make another game. They seem to got it right. |

| Pretty simple answer for me. If one wants an open world game/shooter with a solid crafting system, exploration, and not much depth with characters and quests, then they'll most likely enjoy it.
If you're like me and want an open world RPG with great writing (especially NV's DLCs are just superb in this regard), interesting characters, and where your choices through the game matter at the end, you know my answer. If you apply these expectations to Fallout 4 before you play it, like I have, you'll only end up longing for what it could have been, and be sorely disappointed. |

| Fallout New Vegas but then again, I wasn't a huge fan of it at first until heavy modding so we'll see what happens. Personally, I just got Fallout 4 since my semester ended and I have to say... I'm roughing through it, not so much because its good, but because I have to play through it since its Fallout AND I'd love to add some mods to make it feel way better.
I'm a computer science student about to graduate next semester so hopefully I can pull off some scripts to bring the RPG back. I'm also decent at voice acting if you've seen my We Want More mod for FO3 so hopefully I can make a few side quests to give it personality too. Just have to finish the game one time through first. _________________ “The worst thing that could possibly happen to anybody would be to not be used for anything by anybody. | Hard to really say both games are better/worse in various ways. If anything fo4 is better in that the chargen is much better.
Fo4 followers are somewhat better as far as story/interactions go. |

| i got to say I am impressed with fallout 4 after finally getting it on my PC. I am modding it out and already having a much better experience then fallout new vegas which is a tough thing to beat because New Vegas was my favorite game for a long time running. _________________ Check out my youtube channel and support me with a sub ----> https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMgUwyvq7nUEL1Bu7oMwItQ - My Achievements:

| New Vegas has a better story in my opinion, while 4 has a great world and atmosphere. 4 just doesn't have enough variety in the items. |

| New Vegas. Fallout 4 isn't even a rpg anymore, where the vast majority of the quests are rescuing settlements. |

| Not much argument there, a shitty rpg with shitty dlc versus a great rpg with great dlc and modding community... Fallout 4 is good as a standalone, but not good for an rpg to add to the fallout series. It broke some of the lore, gameplay, and already has a story for your character, while in New Vegas everything was for rpg. You didn't need to finish a quest to trigger an npc to spawn in Vegas unlike it's predecessor Fallout 4. If you like shooters and a campaign already given to you, then go for it, but if you are rpg crazy like me then go for New Vegas. _________________ |

| Fallout 4 is a good game, but not a good fallout game. It was one of the biggest disappointments in my lifetime. Fallout new vegas has and will always remain on a high pedestal, Im glad fallout new vegas can be considered one of the 2010's best RPG games ever. The dialogue in fallout 4 was cringe worthy, heres hoping for obsidian to make a new fallout game. |

I had a really great time with Fallout 4, and it was damn good, but the hype left alot of what I expected absent. So much that I went back to New Vegas and had myself a really damn fun time. New Vegas has something special that 4 lacked, maybe it was the history, but even then Fo3 was really really great. Fo4 just made very weak connections with Fo3, unlike New Vegas which gains a whole lot more depth after playing Fo2 _________________ "Ante up."

| Both the fallout new vegas fallout and 4 are great games. However, despite the passage of time fallout new vegas for me it is the better choice because in terms of the structure of the dialogue and plot my opinion FNV is a game a lot better from the said Fallout 4. As is well known graphics in games is not everything, especially in the RPG. In these games, what counts above all, the story and development of the action, and modifying graphics FNV get good graphics and story _________________ |

| If you want an extremely open-ended game, where you treat your character as an open canvas, FNV.
If you want a better and more personal story, FO4. Plus, much better gunplay and combat in general. _________________ |

| New Vegas.
Can't care about narrowly predefined personal character story unless it's Witcher, never was crazy about voiced protagonists and I have absolutely zero interest in babysitting Preston & settlers.
Oh, and the only use I have for settlement building is player housing, so... |

Oh, and the only use I have for settlement building is player housing, so... As most of your complaints seem to be settlements , you might want to take a look at a mod that just stops settlement from being attacked. |

| Got this mod long time ago. Won't turn it any more interesting.
Then I turned the mod off, after a one gameplay, because settlement raids are a boon anyway - as an annoyance remover. ;>
Can't care about this part of gameplay and I think Fo4 was really crippled by spending too much time on developing it. Poor man's SIMS except with much worse interface. Whatever I want to build, the Creation Kit will do even better.
Silly part is when settlers are so proud about their ability to work hard... But can't dig a single water well or place a carrot. Well, I take it as an in-game explanation why the Commonwealth is in such a sorry state.
The rest of the game has pretty graphics and combat, but ended monontonous anyway.
I don't think this game really compares to FNV. Or Skyrim. |
